hello my lovelies!
I don't intend to put loads on this - but I thought it might be nice to have a thread that can easily be found/referred to later in order to help people create a good profile!
I used the term CV because your profile IS your CV - and the guys who are most successful on here know this!
I thought it might be nice for ladies and couples to list what they like to see on a profile - and for successful single guys to share some tips which have worked for them?
Then when newbies/struggling people come on asking for profile advice we can refer them to this thread?
Really hope everyone takes it on board and provides loads of constructive, positive advice! |

Tip number one from me is to have some good, clear pics which show clearly what you look like (flattering of course - you don't want to scare anyone off) and are recent - nothing worse, surely, than seeing a look of disappointment on your meet's face when you see them for the first time?
Have explicit pics if you feel you need to - but be aware these may put many people off - so have some none rude pics too - with naughty bits covered, that show off your best asset/s! |

This thread is very timely for me. I'm in the process of writing my first proper profile. I'm finding it hard to not come across as quite dull though I don't want to get too economic with the truth though. I guess it's a bit like writing a regular CV...everyone chucks in a bit of bullshit...don't they? |

I was thinking about this and I came to a startling conclusion...
Most of the guys I really like on here have shit or no profiles. Most of the guys we've met from here have shit or no profiles.
I always thought that the profile really made a difference but then I got a message from a guy we turned down saying how he was insulted because his profile is better than the guys we've met. And he was right.
You know what, if a guy wants to meet me I think his best chance is a face and body I find attractive and to not be an asshole. I can't speak for other women.

Whenever I have answered "help me" threads started by single guys with any degree of seriousness, my advice has always been "don't be a dickhead". This appears to evade many, for some reason. |

if the person you want to meet is very specific about something on their profile then make sure you are what they are looking for, and mention what you specifically want also so that women looking for you will be able to find you. |

Ours seems a bit long but we think it has all the info you might need before deciding to message us.
We like to see similar info in profiles such as; availability, likes and dislikes, if you're looking for anything In particular and enough pics to get a good idea of who we are looking at. |

Tbh I try to keep my profile brutally honest - warts and all - but in an amusing way I hope!
I'm well aware though, that as a single fem, I could have a blurred picture of my left ankle with no profile text and still get meets! |

I tend to advise guys as follows:
- Avoid negativity in profiles and status updates
- Have a selection of photos both in pubic and private
- Write about yourself, about what you like, about what you want to try and also anything you are not keen/dislike. Perhaps also explain your usual 'free times'
- Ensure your profile 'sells' you a bit. Nothing over the top but after all the competition is fierce
I am sure there is more but that is just off top of my head |

Profile text doesn't determine who I meet. I meet based on pictures and height.
Clear face picture and clear penis pictures, they're my deciding factors. |

I don't know if it works the same way for
women looking at men's profiles but if I click on a woman's profile and all I see is their tits out then I always think they have something to hide. Every woman has boobs, all different shapes and sizes as do men with their cocks. That's not what should be the attractive part surely? Put a face pic up, if someone wants to meet you because they like the look of you then I'm pretty certain the sex will be better anyway. I wouldn't want the whole world to know what my cock looks like anyway so have one in my friends only folder that way it would involve me actually chatting to a woman first and would only add as a friend if I felt we got on and a _iew to meeting. |

I agree with this too
Fab is a shop window, so for me if I don't know you from Adam then decent photos & user name will be the best way to attract my attention.
I would say the majority of guys I've met it was their pictures that stoked my inital interest.
A lot of written text is boring, keep it short & snappy. |

This
Often when I get a message I don't even go and check out the profile - I just go by the message. If that message is witty and engaging then that is where it starts for me. I can be a couple of messages in before I go and look at the profile

I must admit if the face and torso pics aren't what I'm looking for then I won't meet them!
Saying that though - if I'm a tad undecided the rest of their profile pictures and their profile text will swing it either way for me - which is why I still think they're important! |

defo good quality teasing pictures...you know some thought has been put into them, no messy backgrounds with dirty socks n pants on the floor behind the subject lol
A decent short blurb; about you, what your looking for and why. Are you just looking for a dail-a-fuck or are you into the lifestyle etc.
Couples of decent veri's, webcam, socials events, clubs and or meets.
Hopefully reading our profile, understand what we want and if we match with you, then message us. If we don't match then just leave us alone lol |

I don't think that I've ever suggested they should?
I simply aimed the thread more towards single guys as most often it tends to be them who come on the forums asking for profile advice or asking why they're not getting meets!

I'd like to think my profile is current and straight forward. I have been told a couple of times that my photos let it down, but then I am not very photogenic anyway and dislike taking them. Perhaps I would also be better off hiding the face pics!
It is also factual, but whether anyone believes it or not, I often wonder?

Top tip - search the forums to see if any topic about any issue you might have had been discussed before
Whether it's about "why am I getting no meets";
"My cv is shit"
"Timewasters";
"Cut/ uncut / size cock/ shaved / hairy / big / small/ curvy"
It will have been done to death over many years
Except Cake. You can have as many threads about cake as you want |

Smile in your face photos. A lot of men's face photos look like police mugshots or as though they were taken at a funeral.
Also men, don't make a kissy face in your face pics.
(Disclaimer: post whatever pics you like. The thread is asking what we want to see/what puts us off. This is my answer. Do what you like, maybe some women like mugshots). |

There is no one profile template that fits all.
I'd rather see a profile thats 100% them than one that's trying to tick lots of boxes and appeal to the masses. This applies to couples and singles.
We've met people with crap profile text but had a good selection of pics and their opening message interested us. Further messages flowed easily.
In other words, be yourself!

If a four line profile is good enough for a couple or single fem to land them meets, then it should be good enough for single guys.
After all, there's so much information to be gathered from the interests and other preferences on the profile, why should anyone need to write an essay, just because of their gender?
Your profile should reflect who you are, not a conform to a check box set of standards. You'll never please all of the people ask if the time. Be yourself, be unique, not some idealized standard.

I often wonder if people just try way too hard with their profiles instead of trying to get their personality across first, be it on the forums, chat or wherever. A laid back approach and willingness to play the long game getting to know people first would seem a better approach to me. Plus I'm shit at writing CV's. |

i think it's very dangerous to encourage formulaic CVs, be they real or Fab. The whole point is to give a true and accurate reflection of yourself, your desires and expectations and allow potential "recruiters" (to continue the analogy) if they fit the "vacancy requirements".
Much like recruiting for new staff, those who are too foolish/lazy to investigate the already comprehensive advice, don't check the requirements of the "vacancy" or put little or no effort into their "application" deserve to be on the "Thanks, but there were other applicants who better suited our requirements" pile. |

I wrote my profile ages ago. It hasn't changed for a year or so since my fab requirements haven't changed. Plus I have come to the conclusion that very few people actually read it, especially if you have pictures.
As an aside, if your profile is your fab CV equivalent, then your verifications are your references. I recently displayed a few of mine and the difference in the amount of messages I got was pretty telling. |

How honest can people be on here? Tbh i don't think you should judge a profile by pics/bio/veri's
Just give a person a chance, there would probably be alot less snootyness on fab if people actually didnt think with their dicks/flowers
I actually gave a new profile a chance ages ago, no pic, just said new, agreed to meet at a club and she's ended up a good mate, even if she can drink for england. |

I'm supposed to meet everyone who asks? Just in case their profile and photos don't represent them well? In case they're my type?
Do you have any idea how many drinks/coffee meets I'd have a week. I'd be permanently in the coffee shop. Or on the loo.
You don't really mean we should meet everyone face to face, surely? |

I don't think it's possible to write a profile to suit everyone's taste, so just show your own personality, be original and leave something to the imagination. Try and intrigue whoever reads it and make them want more.
Disclaimer I wrote my profile in 5 mins and I should probably take my own advice! |

"i think it's very dangerous to encourage formulaic CVs, be they real or Fab.
I also can drink for England!
I can also pewk for England several hours later!
Thats fine peachy! I'm a lightweigh, so by the time your pewking lol i'll have been pissed and sobered up ready to clean your mess lol!
Ps, i messaged you earlier "
She generally cleans up after herself. You could honestly go on a continental mini break in the time it takes her to sober up!! |

"I was thinking about this and I came to a startling conclusion...

Even if I find a face and a body attractive they will not be enough to hold my interest if the profile text is poor. A good all-round reflection of the person is much more appealing than a one-sided effort...imho. |

So for any new people reading this thread,
Cock pics - Yes and no
Profile text - Keep it real and detailed or short and straight to the point,
Verifications - When you get them show them but not all of them, Don't want people thinking you are shagging your way around the site,
Take good picture as not everyone reads profiles anyway

Ensure that if others are in your photos that the majority of the person shown is you, rather than them- eg 80% you as a minimum.
People want to see how you look, rather than visual evidence that you can actually participate in sex with others - when they're _iewing your photos. |

"The second they say 'what will you be wearing' or 'what will we do when you get here'......... Run and don't look back.........."
'what will you be wearing'
Even if its a social ?
What happens when he turns up wearing a suit and she is dressed casual, Jeans/ T shirt etc,
'what will we do when you get here'
I haven't met anyone at their house or a hotel, Do you want me to greet you as a friend or do you have some sort of role play in mind ?
Are we having a few drinks at the bar first /Do you want to meet in the room,
Sometimes asking questions about the social/meet is OK, |

the problem with this type of thread is that people look at it from their own point of _iew....
so if i was to ask a thousand people what they look for i would bet i'd get a thousand different answers....
cocks this, no cocks that.... bod shot, face pic, two lines, war and bloody peace.....
i think the general mistake a lot of people make is they take everything in and it becames a generic mish mash of what people think others want to hear......
people cast their net so wide thinking it helps when it does the opposite..... people have a fair idea of what they are after.. so tailor it to them rather than all and sundry
and then how are the people choosing suppose to tell people apart?
just let people find their own way.... those who get it and understand it will..... those who don't won't.... but at least you'll be able to tell the difference.....

See also: "describe what you would do to me" or "how do you envisage a night together going?"
I envisage me meeting you and trying to decide if I like you or not. If I do, and you play your cards right, you might get a shag..... |

It's a stuffed one. I have a cormorant too, and you "win" if you can tell me which one is the shag, and why it isn't a cormorant. |
