I've noticed a few people remove their own post then write a line apologising with the reason they did so. Is this considered forum etiquette?
I remove if I re-read and I've missed words out of the piece or I remove if in the time I have been writing my post in response, another member has posted with similar viewpoints. I never feel the need to say why I removed - does anyone ever really ponder about removed posts anyway? |

it depends...
I remove if it has been double posted... I have also removed posts in the past if i feel after reading it, it can be construed as being a personal attack on someone, then i will go back and try to rewrite it to make it more generic... |

Obviously there is reasoning behind the removal or it would stay put... but do you feel you should add a note at the beginning of your tweaked post is what I meant... |
