Is it just me.. or does everyone get annoyed at the time they take to even show the dimmest of light?? I would be better carrying a torch round my house with me at the time it takes... then when at full light its still dim!! |

The older ones were pretty naff, but the new generation of lamps are much better now.
Go for the 20w versions (they are equivalent to a 100W incandecent lamp) and you'll never know the difference.
When you buy one, make sure the colour rating is around 3500k - warm white (avoid 4800k because they give off a very cold, harsh light)
Overall though, regardless of colout temp, the up time on all the new lamps is vastly improved and the energy saving is well worth having |
