It's a good day but...

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

The weather is fine, I have a bacon sandwich, a cup of tea and some sweet Sunday acoustic on. A fine day to be sure.

However, my housemate has raised a question that has caused some disagreement.

Do you put butter on your bacon sandwich?

I personally think that if you do, you're an animal and should be culled for the good of humanity.

Let the culling begin.

We can bring sauce into the debate, though I am okay with either

It is a very simple choice really either dip the bread, roll etc in the fat the bacon is cooked in or butter the bread etc.

Under no circumstances eat bacon on dry bread or roll etc. that is against all laws of nature

It's a good one this, I don't use butter at home but if I need a quick lunch at work I'll buy a sandwich from sainsburys and always think, as if they haven't even buttered the bread!

Bun lightly toasted, smothered in lurpak, heaps of slightly crispy bacon and tomato ketchup..... that's the only way to make a bacon sarnie in my house. Accept no imitations

No butter*.

But I'm strange and only put butter on toast and crumpets. Doesn't go on sandwiches of any type.

*by butter I mean any type of spread that resembles butter as well as actual butter.

That's not really that strange, I only use butter on toast or crumpets too.

Or we're both strange

Not desecrating. Improving! Most leaps forward in humanity start out being met with ridicule. Everyone laughed at Columbus when he said the world was round....
