I know it's completely inappropriate for this site but b@stard washing machines!

I put the wash on quick wash (any other programme takes 5 hours) but when I come to empty it I find the clothes still marked?!?! What can I do!

Don't use the quick wash for heavily soiled clothing.

Add some stain remover into the wash or put some on the individual marks before the wash. I do this and wash everything at 30 degrees, it works

I wouldn't say it was inappropriate. .the amount of photos I've seen on here with people in the kitchen posing next to the washing machine ..obviously better than photos in the toilet I guess. .

Quick wash isn't for stained clothes. If you do want a wash that doesn't take too long try the delicates programme (J on some machines). They usually last about 25 minutes. But the spin is short and gentle so for most washes you need to put it on long spin afterwards.

Treat any skid marks first, as advised above.

I hate to be a bloke saying this (and an engineer to boot) but have you read the manual?

Other options for persistent stains - leave em in the sun. The UV bleaches things good n proper. Trust me, I have a toddler!

If the clothes come out soaking wet after a spin then you are either :-

a. using a slow spin cycle

b. overlooking a blockage

check the drain hose isn't blocked.. Can block under sink if attached by a spiggot. Also check if pump has access panel to clean it out.

I would say that you aren't putting the clothing on a long enough cycle.

The quick wash is for items that aren't really dirty but you want to freshen, like a shirt you've worn once and it's not dirty but needs to be freshened.

Look for a grey flexible hose 2 or 3 cm thick. spigot is a cone shaped pipe on u bend. It will have a jubilee clip on grey pipe. Just need a screwdriver and a bucket to catch some water. Undo jubilee clip and Pull off pipe and check for gunge in pipe. When putting it back, check the grey pipe arches up before dropping down to washing machine. That stops water from sink draining into washing machine.

I don't use bio washes and get great results. You can pre-soak and wash clothes outside of a machine.

Public laundrettes often do service washes though please bear some consideration for others having to inspect your arse filth encrusted pants.

Consider that some garments could be considered as disposable too.
