I'm pretty new on here but I've noticed that some people seem to just like being nasty to others

If someone you message says no or just doesn't reply is that a good reason to start having a go at them ?

Maybe I'm old fashioned but I thought it's nice to be nice

Everyone should be treated at all times with respect, irrespective of whether you dislike their position or personality etc.

Don't fall into the trap of stooping to their level, where they don't uphold respect for all.

And report all inappropriate activities to admin, leaving them to pursue it. The site is superior when people just do this and cast off ill will. It's an adult-only site and we all should find this reasonable and straightforward to achieve.

The site and forums have some outstanding people, so keep your focus on them. There's more than enough love to go around

I'm inclined to think that in many ways its worse than the real world. The anonymity of the web is used to be abusive to others in ways that doesn't happen IRL. Some people take pleasure in being unpleasant to others.

OP, try to look on as a heads up on how they are, unpleasant vile people. Then ask yourself, ' do I really want to have sex with them?'

As someone already mentioned, internet anonymity is a lot to blame.

People post stuff they would not dare to say in real life because only in rare cases are there any consequences, like the couple on another thread where a chap threatened to 'get them'.

However it does constantly surprise us that SM's come on here and bleat about no meets and people being nasty to them.

Do they really think that women or couples are going to be gagging to meet them? especially with some of the ridiculous pictures/profiles on offer?

There are some very 'successful' men in the scene but it's rarely instantaneous and like any sales campaign you need patience, hard bark and a hook or USP

IOOP.

This is an interesting one, OP, as some people say pretty offensive things that upset me, but as my opinion isn't the mainstream, then when I say something back to counter or question their opinion/post, I may well come across as being nasty, when I am not being. I think its hard to judge who is nasty and who is not .... plus, some people are touting for nasty comments so they can be the victim, it suits them ...

All part of the internet and the swing/sex site side of it. Plus the chunk of strangeness, wierdo's, misfits, pent up anger merchants it attracts.

Saying that there's also plenty of people about always ready to play the victim. Generally say something how it is and a victim will pop up and take is personally like it was, if not claiming it was, aimed at them.

There's the rare snake in the grass out to stir up trouble (sometimes even stealthily behind people's backs) but on the whole if you engage with people how you'd like to be engaged with back its all good and the overwhelming majority are decent

If you encounter negativity or people that just have different outlooks to you its best to ignore them and move on and not let them diminish your enjoyment of the site
