Had home cooked venison last night for the first time, and Jayne nailed it!!
We went the whole hog with the sauce and my particular favourite, red onion marmalade (home made).... mmmmmmm!
So, what home cooked version of a popular restaurant meal have you tried, and how did it go? Did it go well, or did the bin get a gourmet meal? |

I seldom go out to eat as I can cook quite well at home myself.
When I do, it has to be something special or things that I do not cook at home, like fish or other really fancy dishes that involve a lot of pans and pots! |

Eating out is as much about not having to cook and enjoying the company, so theres not much that I wouldn't tackle at home, I just can't be arsed when its just for me, so i stick to the basics at home! |

Yup, we enjoy going out too, hooking up with friends etc is a big plus.
However, its cheaper to do these things at home, and we enjoy the challenge of trying out techniques and recipes for ourselves, seeing if we can do it as well as the professionals. |
