The S5 is not a great handset. They're rife with problems. A lot of people I know who had it had to pay for early upgrades to get the much better S6 or the Note. I have a regular S5 as a replacement to a broke S4 and really fed up with it. It has far too many glitches. I'm an analyst for Geek Squad so I have to keep up with this stuff.
The S5 mini may act up, especially if you have too many active apps on it coz it has a slower processor. Doesn't help that it many apps that can't be removed that constantly update. |

Have to say I'm loving my phone.
After my old Samsung dyang 5 months before upgrade I'd bought a cheap Chinese phone off amazon - I'll never complain about a phone again!
I got an s6 edge on upgrade and have never been happier with a phone.
Anyone want to buy an amazing budget phone? It's packed with some amazing features as only the Chinese can accomplish? ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Interesting. I find that Edge to be a poser phone for the look at me crowd. A few people a work use it and it seems to be all they talk about. Would just get a an S6 but think I'm just gonna get a Note 3. Kind of depends on whether I still work for DixonsCarphone by June. |

"Id turned it off and on again. Have now removed a couple of new apps and restarted again. So far so good. Its an s5 mini"
Simply turning off and back on again isn't sufficient, you need to press the power and volume-up buttons at the same time, to do a soft re-set. |

Don't you need tiny child like hands to operate the Ace? I nearly got one but ended up with a Huawei because it was cheaper but exactly the same and so frustrated with the size. Texting was nightmare I still use that phone as a back up as I broke 3 S4 screens last year. |

To be honest, I hardly do any texting as I find it quite irritating. Why not just use some of the many minutes that you get and actually speak to the person ![](/icons/s/wink.gif) |

I hate smartphones, either Android or IOS.
I get the whole mobile interweb, but I need want a bigger screen and a tactile keyboard for that, so I use a notebook/netbook for mobile interweb.
My main gripe is that they do the basics of telephony and texting badly, compared to the older phones.
My ideal device would be one where you have an old style keyboard and small screen on one side, which does texting/telephony, and a portable interweb screen on the other side which also has all your apps etc., ideally with a screen which you can pull out to make it larger (it's coming, flexible screens which roll up into a pen sized tube are not far away).
My old nokia 3310 used to go a week on a single charge, and I could use it one handed, often without having to look at the keypad. |

A lot of people I know have said they'd rather go back to 3310 or reminisce how they were simple and no hassle. I had 3 and the SIM tray was botched on all the them. By the the last one I'd learned to keep the SIM in with a biz of rizla card and that lasted ages until I lost it. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |
