So as some will know, I put up a thread on here offering anyone who wanted to to come and meet me for a coffee and chat, and I would happily verify them. Well it was a success and I met 2 lovely gentlemen today who responded to my post 
So I'm sure I will be doing this again when I next get a free day. |

I know I'm in the minority & I've said before I'm in two minds about this way of obtaining veri's as a few on previous threads there were no shows.
But if you have had a good time & met some nice guys that you may meet again then all is good. |

Well to the people that knocked the idea at the beginning, there are some goos reasons why people have taken this offer up and not because they are sone desperados with no self respect as has been suggested at times |

But if you have had a good time & met some nice guys that you may meet again then all is good."
I did, and yes I would genuinely meet both again. I think some people are nervous of meeting so this can be a way to break the ice so to speak. Plus the veris say I met them, they are who they say, they are nice chatty people so others can make up their minds on the back of it. |

I appreciate it's difficult to get that 1st initial veri which is held in such high esteem ( depending on which forum thread you read!) on Fabs. I just know I'd only veri people I would be prepared to meet again or 'recommend'.

Over 90% of the people I have verified I have only met socially or in clubs with no play. I don't play at lot, but I look for the traits of who is friendly, who is who they say they are etc. I couldn't recommend to others as I don't know what others want, there are people I have refused to verify as well at the same time |

On one hand as a 'lone' male I know that I've had to work hard and invest a lot of energy into every verification that I've received - some have taken well over of a year of engagement before I've actually met them and so none have been "gimme's" and I know that's true of a lot of people on here - all the veris have had to be 'earned' if that makes sense.
On the other hand - I'm exactly the same person as I was when unverified - I knew I was genuine but was overlooked for meets by many as I didn't have that critical first verification. Many people genuinely won't people unless they're verified - and they can't get verified unless they meet people! A vicious cycle!
The standard solution is 'go to a club or a social' .. Well that's exactly what this is - a social but rather than a group social it's a face to face to face social. And sometimes it's that 'helping hand' that is needed to kickstart someone on here with that critical first veri.
So on one hand I can see that it might be deemed to be an 'easy' verification but on the other it's a generous gesture to offer a helping hand to get some guys 'off the mark' and up and running on the site
And with that : I've had brill socials with you both and keen for a repeat so hopefully pragmatic enough an answer ha x

And if you meet someone in a club and you verify them there, you might never see them there again. Also, when it's suggested that people go to clubs to get veris it doesn't take into consideration whether people are shy or not. A one to one offer like this allows those who are shy to get started. |

"I know I'm in the minority & I've said before I'm in two minds about this way of obtaining veri's as a few on previous threads there were no shows.
But if you have had a good time & met some nice guys that you may meet again then all is good.
I did, and yes I would genuinely meet both again. I think some people are nervous of meeting so this can be a way to break the ice so to speak. Plus the veris say I met them, they are who they say, they are nice chatty people so others can make up their minds on the back of it.
I appreciate it's difficult to get that 1st initial veri which is held in such high esteem ( depending on which forum thread you read!) on Fabs. I just know I'd only veri people I would be prepared to meet again or 'recommend'.
Which is why I said I'm in the minority.

See I can absolutely see both points of view here (and I know it's very unlike me to sit firmly on the fence hey!? )
On one hand as a 'lone' male I know that I've had to work hard and invest a lot of energy into every verification that I've received - some have taken well over of a year of engagement before I've actually met them and so none have been "gimme's" and I know that's true of a lot of people on here - all the veris have had to be 'earned' if that makes sense.
On the other hand - I'm exactly the same person as I was when unverified - I knew I was genuine but was overlooked for meets by many as I didn't have that critical first verification. Many people genuinely won't people unless they're verified - and they can't get verified unless they meet people! A vicious cycle!
The standard solution is 'go to a club or a social' .. Well that's exactly what this is - a social but rather than a group social it's a face to face to face social. And sometimes it's that 'helping hand' that is needed to kickstart someone on here with that critical first veri.
So on one hand I can see that it might be deemed to be an 'easy' verification but on the other it's a generous gesture to offer a helping hand to get some guys 'off the mark' and up and running on the site
And with that : I've had brill socials with you both and keen for a repeat so hopefully pragmatic enough an answer ha x

It certainly is, all I offer on fab at the moment is coffee and friendly chat. I find it great and a fab way to meet people with similar interests |
