Disrespect works when you feel disrespected, if someone says something you dislike, rather than trying to humiliate or chastise them through words, walk away, ignominy usually comes when no one responds, threads die and we can all breathe a sigh. Ignoring an insult? Yes sometimes we have to do that, you can't correct the world through fans forums. If someone posts something you don't like, just roll eyes and walk away (like when I see the "aren't all the forum regulars wonderful" threads... yawn) Everything that is said on these forums and on this site is done through anonymity, a shield for any coward or fool. Don't let people change the way you feel about people. And don't tar everyone with the same brush, try to see the tongue in cheek, recognise ignorance for what it is, and know that if you stick your head above the parapet, you will be shot, but that you were brave enough to stand up. I am very honest with my opinion on here, do I respect women, yes but not all women. I watched the behaviours of many and I do think more often than not, they reap what they sow and then bleat about it. The same for many men... and I don't respect them as they slither to women by joining in on the downing of guys on here. Do I dislike the woman I have zero respect for, No as they don't interest me. I just hope most get the best out of the site and that may mean, they change their approach

There is a lot of very clear disrespect of women on here and I don't think ignoring it is the answer. That's condoning it. If a guy calls a woman a slag for meeting too many people, even if she pays no attention, he's still an arsehole, he's still in the wrong and he'll go on to do it again and again to other women. There's enough complaining on here about man bashing, so clearly guys don't tend to feel that it's up to them to put up with it by changing how they feel about it. Don't let people change the way you feel about people. And don't tar everyone with the same brush, try to see the tongue in cheek, recognise ignorance for what it is, and know that if you stick your head above the parapet, you will be shot, but that you were brave enough to stand up.
