As a band I have always liked them and got into them in their Midian era. But people seem to enjoys hating them - a band you love to hate as the saying goes. |

A lot of people seeing a 'Vestal masturbation' t-shirt could take it a wee but offensively - people then make judgements on the band.....
A friend of mine was engaged to one of their members though - nice enough people!?  |

Cradle of Filth are by far our favourite band - ever - unique , heavy , black , yet melodic and truly evoke an erotic and gut wrenching feeling .
We saw them in Cambridge almost 4 years ago , just before we got married at junction 2 . A very small and intimate venue and what a gig !
We have the best of the bands t shirts on our bedroom wall , some very rare ones too .

I think a lot of more hard core black metal fans probably hate them as there pretty tame compared to there Norwegian counterparts. .as in.. no members of cradle of filth have..killed themselves with a shotgun. .burnt down churches. .or murdered other members of bands   |

I guess theres probably less risks involved being involved in mountaineering than there is being a member of mayhem |

Haha too right! Although I knew the members of Exhume too who burnt a church down in the 90's and the members still alive are far less exciting things than mountaineers  |
