I already know there will be some continuation of life beyond my mortal death. Just not mine

I think what the OP meant was that you find out that after you die there us an afterlife, not that after you die you find out there is an afterlife. The temporal restrictive is on the afterlife, not when you find out about said afterlife...I think. |

Hmm, would depend on whether it was just confirmation that there is something after popping ones clogs, or if there was more information about what that next phase actually was.
If the former then no it wouldn't make any difference.
If the latter then it would depend on what was on offer, and what effect any changes to lifestyle may have.
