Programme makers didn't give a toss about sexism or racism or H&S or minorities etc. Like TDUDP, Love thy Neighbour, Rising damp, Mind your Language, Benny Hill. " I think the first 3 of that list at least, were attempts to highlight racial, political and societal bigotry by using humour to lampoon stereotypical caricatures. I think they worked pretty well and were often very funny. But it wouldn't be allowed in today's PC hidebound times | |||
