"if its not too personal a question,, whats the effects of the skin like?
Thats my biggest fear i guess
It's my fear too."
non fab related ive a friend who lost 11 stone at Slimming World and she went oversea's to get a tummy tuck.
She was brave and showed us her tummy and arms before she went over.
It really put me off wanting to start the journey of a million steps.
My opinion was id rather learn to love myself fat but full .. than be thin and resent myself.
Men like BBW's .. but no one goes out seeking thin ladies with loads of skin |

the post above was a previous thought of mine,, ive since changed my mind, and decided to go the healthy route, get better for myself so i can live longer with my daughter.
Never really had a relationship so cant say ive missed them should my skin be an issue
One thing i am noticing already is that where im getting looser skin it chafes more and often red raw and very sore where theres more fluidity to my fat where it was once solid. Especially in the 'jelly belly' area..
(sorry if you were eating lol)

"I won't be able to afford a tummy tuck so I'll be stuck with it.
Every now and again I think about it and fall off the diet wagon for a week."
This is why i need the weight loss classes as my will power is shocking when im left on my own.

i hope not, but im not sure.
in my head id like to think a mature man would appriciate the struggles ive gone through and how strong i was to come out the other side.
I couldnt blame a man for not finding me physically attractive though.. just hoping my amazing personality shines through PMSL |

Ladies, when I got married years ago. My ex was size 16/18. She tried hard to lose weight but kept putting it back on. I tried telling her that when I met her she was perfect and no amount of weight loss would change my feelings... what I'm trying to say is people should take you as they find you . You are all beautiful in different ways.x |

Well done you. I'm tempted to join you and dig out a before picture but even at 5 stone gone I don't think I look that much different. Which in my case is a good thing; I wanted to be slimmer not stop looking like me. |

It's not an excuse, it's a genuine fear.
It's not just what other people think, it's what if I put in so much time and effort and end up hating my body more.
It's not an excuse not to do it because I always get back on track. I am prone to sabotaging my own efforts though and being scared I won't be happy with the end result doesn't help.
I've been overweight for a long time now. I'm safe behind my fat. |

I was surprised how different you looked when I looked at your recent photos, so many nice new clothes.
Its much better for you to be slimmer.
I need to lose 3 stone myself.
Is it ok if I say I also like you in your old picture too, I like your green skirt. |

I get this im a bigger girl. But im alot bigger because of the amount of excess skin i have on my midsection. It wasnt through weight loss but through a complicated pregnancy where the baby grew out and not up at all. I was like octo mum. Ive had to live with it over 10 years and i sometimes wish i put on weight there cause it looked better to me with weight in it. But for me its always bum and boobs.
Im finally having consultations for a tummy tuck. Im lucky enough to be able to afford it. Skin is just as depressing as weight xx
There are a range of payment options available though and lots of online guides for how to minimise excess skin when loosing weight xx Good luck |

I can't wear that one anymore. Even at maximum cinching it's too big. And I really, really miss that bra. |

I think its better to be more healthy and fit and to look better in your clothes because more people see you in your clothes. |
