Is 18yrs old too "young" to be swinging in a relationship? Recently noticed a surge of 18yr old, usually with older partners on here that are swinging?
When I was 18 I was busy with being 18...lol going out, having fun, college etc the last thing on my mind was being in a relationship and inviting other people to have sex in that relationship.
You're so impressionable at that age, surely you want to understand what constitutes a relationship before you start "swinging"?
What are your thoughts? |

It's complicated. My thoughts are that there are manipulators and coercive types who will use those things on people of any age, I also think that if you are capable of being manipulated it will happen whatever age you are if you meet the wrong person. I do feel in certain circumstances an older person will use someone else's inexperience against them though.
I don't hold with the argument that at 18 you should be out doing certain things though.

Speaking from my own perspective at 18 as a single guy I would have loved a site like this but if I had been part of a couple at 18 or even into early twenties I think it would have been a lot different. It took 12 months of discussing it for me and tray to take the plunge into the lifestyle and I don't think at such a young age there would have been the trust or the grounding of a solid relationship to have been successful or lasted long in the scene as I say this is only my perspective and I am not knocking any couples who fall into that age range as it is everyone's personal choice as to why and when they enter the lifestyle |

Yes, I get at 18yrs old and single we're all hormones and looking for the new adventure sexual or otherwise. We're just finding what we like and who we are but in MY opinion a first impression of a relationship should be about 2 people. Once the maturity has kicked in and after a few relationships then dive in to swinging if you're that way inclined. |
