Paul Mcartney dead ?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

The former drummer of the Beatles, Ringo Starr, surprised the world this morning during an interview in his luxurious Californian residence, when he admitted that the 45-year old rumors about the alleged death of Paul McCartney in 1966 were actually true.

Probably a load of bollocks but it amuses me for a couple of mins.

Have you got a source for this, as this story emerged several months ago and was roundly de-bunked by Ringo himself at that time

"Have you got a source for this, as this story emerged several months ago and was roundly de-bunked by Ringo himself at that time"

It's a story that's been doing the rounds for 45 years now.

My brother sent me a link to this today so I thought I'd share.

If Biggy 2 Pacs is really alive then I'm sure it's feasible that Macca can be dead.

Isn't it ?

Aswad faked his own death in 1990 but couldn't cope with the quiet, fame free lifestyle. Early 1991 he paid Rusty Lee to forge him fake documents and reinvented himself as Mr Motivator.

Remember you heard it here first!

No

And yes I'm aware that the rumour has been circulating for over 40 years (look at my age), but the one where Ringo is supposed to have stated it was true, is, to my knowledge fairly recent, but he came out and said he gave no such interview - hence my asking for a credible source

A. This has been going for years;

B . Ringo Starr is not someone who has ever had a very strong grasp of reality.

"Well the guy who has been mimicking him for the last 45 years is sure a great impersonator then !

Yeah, but it would explain why he's such a crap musician and singer "

Well; he's a crap singer now because he's in his seventies and his voice is fucked.

However, if you were to listen to Maybe I'm Amazed and hear his incredible range back then, you may change your opinion.

If that's not enough proof for you then how about The Beatles recording of Long Tall Sally. That was done in one take, just as John did with Twist and shout.

You won't of course, I realise that.

As for crap musician? Well while you're not listening to Maybe I'm Amazed, take a moment to realise that he played every instrument on it.

Oh, and he wasn't known as one of the best bass players in the world for nothing.

I wish I was as crap a musician as he obviously is.

Oh dear, you obviously didn't see the emoji and deduce that the tongue was wedged firmly in cheek.

You also do not know that I have been a pro/semi pro musician for over 30 years and thus presume much about my ignorance of recording techniques.

He was, I agree, a half decent singer, but is not considered to be a great musician by his peers, his playing at best, is rudimentary, though it improved greatly. I've never heard him referred to as one of the best bass guitarists in the world. Certainly not by any bass player, and I've worked with some of the best.

I take it you've listened to the live tapes from their time in Germany before they became successful - they were pretty shite. But as many did in those days, they learned their craft on the road.

Lighten up a bit, I was having a laugh at the ludicrous nature of the original post.

Correct; the 12 people who have walked on the moon, were wearing boots, so their feet actually never touched it.

He aint got no peers man, he's Paul McCartney!

Is Lady Madonna rudimentary piano playing?

If you can't tell he's a great bass player just by listening to his bass lines, then you can always google him.

Nighty night.
