This guy's goverment wanted to cut 4 billion from pip for disabled and vunerable, and give out tax cuts for the rich. With gross inequality in this country and the 'we're all in this together' rubbish He's got some incredible nerve lecturing on the telly about christian values

It's easier for a camel to go througha tiny gap than it is for a rich man to enter heaven.

If he is a christian why's he not want to go to heaven?

I thought he was saying we should defend our right to be a Christian country as opposed to lecturing about values.

I'm pretty sure he's saying,

You should try to separate,

the political,from the inherent.

.

It's funny how they all pretty much have that same attitude towards women!...I mean it's like they deemed you second class citizens, I think it was John Lennon that wrote the song 'women are the niggers of the world'. The slaves slave so to speak!

Im with you, I'd rather have a secular society, however seen as our head of state is also the head of the church it does seem a little hypocritical to lecture others on their structuring!.

What is a "Christian" value anyhow?

noam chmsky says that the oligarchy used to refer to everyone who wasn't them as niggers. it's true.

suppose someone had to start off the hierarchy somehow so that it made sense that some people are 'better'/more worthy than others.

Faith in God

Respect

Self control,and moderation

Honesty and integrity

Kindness and compassion

Patience and perseverance

Peace and humility

Loyalty and commitment

They seem pretty good values to me,and I'm an athiest.

How can it be wrong,or in any way racist,to ask people to live by those values.

Are people now so worried about offending others,we should deny our heritage.

So Whether people like it or not, this countries history is steeped in Christianity.

ooh this is interesting, i found it in wiki.

Modern use in worldwide right-wing politics[edit]

In the 21st century United States, Australia, UK and other countries, the phrases "Christian values" and "family values" are used by Christian right and conservative political groups to describe some or all of the following political stances:

censorship of sexual content, especially in movies and on television.[4]

the desirability of laws against induced abortion

sexual abstinence outside of marriage and abstinence-only education[5]

the promotion of intelligent design to be taught in public schools and colleges as an alternative to evolution.[6]

the desirability of laws against same-sex marriage

support for laws against the acceptance of homosexuality into mainstream society[7]

the desirability of organized prayer in public schools[8]

Why can't we have women bishops? I don't like things that are anti equal opportunities.

The more Cameron proletizes, the more likely I am to vote to leave the EU to spite him.
