Casually been googling escort sites and a thought occurred to me.
Apart from the obviouse financial gains, and entrenprenaurial aspect i wonder there has been a social shift??
Quite simlpy shocked at volume..
Is it also due to the Fear faktor that guys genuinely feel due to high profile cases recently and rules on consent on taking dates to a physical level.
That some women simply are not being satified sexually in a conventional way..
That its time consuming and guys are now just to restrained and timid..???
That these ladies, are using escorting as a reason to fullfill there quest for obviouse danger, but thrill and excitement it may provide.

i think the internet just makes advertising more prevalent...i very much doubt theres any particular increase....if there was no net, you'd be left with numbers in newsagents windows etc, very local to you, on the net you will be seeing a far wider geographical area surely? |

Most people wanna make money with the littlest effort as possible.
Promiscuity isn't a big deal any more.
There's no thrill (apart from obvious might get murdered, raped, or robbed) by being an escort. |

I would absolutely quit my job and become an escort if I thought it was viable, I love sex and I need money to get by so why not?
However on the flip side I would worry about my prospects of settling down and the longevity of the 'profession' or becoming disillusioned with sex and the risks of it healthwise and safetywise. |

Yes i genuinely believe guys are a lot more nervous of consequenses of missreading signals ( human nature) even if agenda is genuine.
Also with the digital age (porn) the mystique of women isn,t as great so there not so eager???
I agree it is a an occupation just like any other...
Still begs the question if demand is never goin to go away. The ladies that provide the service are more excepted in uk society..

I think you'll find that there's more stigma attached to the women than their customers. The customers are the ones who create the demand and seek the ladies out. |

I know some girls who have been working g girls in the past and I think (generally speaking) suggesting that girls become escorts as they can't get enough sex is just wishful thinking on the part of the guys using the service.
I know some girls who thought escorting would suit them as they liked sex. Until they bacame escorts.

and that has its own problems i went to see one a while back asked a few questions covered cost got the she said oh my english is bad its twenty pound more so i said nope i go now mug heavy downstairs tried to stop me i stood toe to toe with him and said give it your best shot he backed down i left put me off escorts for a while

I provide photographic services for a number of escorts. I must be one of the only guys that gets paid by the ladies...  (and not "in-kind", not my thing)
There are a number of factors that lead people into this lifestyle, some do genuinely enjoy sex, these ladies tend to have 3-6 regular clients that treat them very well. Some work on high client turnover and low charge rates, these girls are just doing it to make ends meet.
Then there are trafficked women, and I would urge any man on discovering these to report them immediately, no excuses for letting abuse continue.

I once had a friend who was an escort (she used to work for NAAFI, google it, before you get any ideas). Her ex left her in a ton of debt and it was the only way she could think of making lots of cash quickly (£120 an hour). She lived in Gosport and her first client was on the Isle of Wright. Sorry OP but your ideas about escorts are kinda misguided.
Like any profession, there are people who do it because they love it (sex) and plenty who don't (money). I know girls who do it for both reasons.
Increased volume? No, that'd be the internet.
As for men being stigmatised, think you'll find its the fallen women who suffer the most due to our draconian sex laws |

There's no thrill to being an escort, I had a friend who dabbled with it for a while, the money wasn't great really and she never knew who was coming through the door, that's why she gave up in the end as she didn't like the fat men with bad breath that she used to get, she on the odd occasion got a nice one but on the whole they use to 'gross her out' was the phrase she used to use. Thankfully she didn't do it long!!

I understand the protection in return for a cut of the price agreement and I have nothing against it. It's shame that some people need to charge extra to pay for security though.
My circle of friends supports each other for free, which ensures everyone receives every penny of their earnings. And of course, they can still charge whatever they want. They just aren't forced to charge so much that they cut out most of the market |
