Somewhere in North Norfolk

Sometimes I think too much at night and I end up making myself really depressed.

I should go to bed.

so near and yet so far....

We all do.

Overthinking and too much time on your hands can be bad for your mental health...

I start to think about complete random things to cheer me up...

Today it was all those poor souls out there that still get an arranged marriage only to find out on the wedding night the mans penis is the size of a wotsit and they got to go to bed with that every night... Could be worse.. Much rather the depressed thoughts

Worst feeling ever I 100% understand their should be a curfew where our brain if unstimulated past a certain time just puts us in a coma till we need to awake

They're quite personal. Not something I'll discuss on here.

I can relate to this. Spend many nights mind racing thinking too much and not sleeping its horrible.

I'm really bad for this. It's part of my illness and I'm not good at the moment. I have a good friend who is phoning me most nights at midnight to try to sort my head out before I try to sleep. Helps with the paranoid thoughts especially. Still wake up about 3 with daft things running through my head though. Is there anyone you could talk to at night to try to break the cycle?

you ever try reading before bed? I have a book to read to try and get me tired after having a shower.

If you could spend some time doing yoga or breathing exercises it should help your mind and body to relax.

We cant often change the things that we may overthink about but we can alter how we create, manage and put them aside whilst we cultivate a healthy more relaxed here and now.

Hoping you get some good rest and sleep tonight. The forum is all the richer for having you here but I'd like to imagine you having some quality sleep before too much more of the night arrives.
