how many of you insist on a pre meet phone call?
I've seen profiles where it states that there has to be a fem to fem chat before actually meeting otherwise the deal's off (or words to that effect)
personally I don't see the point and would rather not meet anyone who did insist on it just because...
thoughts please?

I won't give my phone number out until a meet is arranged, and even then its for emergencies only. I don't need a phone call and prefer I don't get millions of texts. Just one before the meet to check its still going ahead. |

I've backed out of a social meet before because they were insisting on a phone chat even though I'm verified (and they weren't!)
But then on the flip side I was recently persuaded to have a quick call with someone and it turned into a very nice chat indeed so I guess it all depends on who is asking, how they ask, and how horny I am haha x |

I understand why anyone meeting a couple would insist on here. Else you could well end up meeting just the male half who's partner is all of a sudden not available that night |

I like to speak on the phone first as it helps develop the relationship above and beyond just written text.
It is more fully interactive m, with real time answering of questions and you can negotiate the finer points of a meet.
It's also a way of filtering out unsuitable meets that may have otherwise wasted someone's time. |

We think its a good idea, we chatted on the phone with a lovely couple from on here, It was a good icebreaker and put both couples at ease to know that we were both genuine couples. Thought it would of been a bit awkward but both females were chatting for ages x |

Personally I can completely understand why couples would insist upon it, so many single guys pose as couples on here (so I hear) Plus I could understand why a single bloke may want to speak beforehand and I have obliged. |

I'm not sure what it's meant to achieve other than confirming something that the verification does already (or should do).
The messages on fab should be enough to discuss likes and dislikes for both parties without having to have a potentially awkward additional chat on the phone.
Break the ice and have the chat at the meet or at worst have a social beforehand and decide then.

We don't give out our phone numbers because they're also used for work. I suppose we could get a burner, but Kik/Skype/Group Chat/etc are just as effective |
