When I was single, arranged a date at sushi samba (short walk from my work) he arrives, I am already on my 2nd cocktail with my credit card on the tab, he looks at the prices and turns white and orders a tap water, I order another cocktail  he then looks at the food menu and turns whiter, Saying perhaps we should go to the "white lion' as he fancys a pie
I twig at this point he is skint, so I make up and excuse that I am on company expenses so the bar and food was on me, after this point I've never seen anyone drink as many cocktails and eat as much sushi in my life !!! Bill comes to £486 (service charge another 12%) he says he will pay the tip, rubs out the 12% charge I was going to pay anyway and puts a fiver on the table in pound coins |

I was talking to a woman who was soon insinuating (not too subtly) that she deserved to be treated like a princess and spoilt. I asked outright if she was a brass but apparently it's not prostitution as it's gifts and not cash someone get her a job in Parliament. |

I was nodding along until I saw the price, £486 for a bit of fish and pop - bollocks to that. Even in London... gosh there's an amazing cocktail bar in soho where you wouldn't pay more than £9 a cocktail and contrary to popular belief, there's no such thing as "sushi grade" salmon so get some sushi at yo sushi, 6 x grey plates will set you back ~£30.
If I had £486 to spend on chasing tail then I'd get myself a blow up doll so I could at least do a balance transfer on the cost and pay it in installments. |

Oh dear. I feel like saying "awww" though. He felt bad about not being able to pay his way. It must have been embarrassing for him, though not too embarrassing to make the most of your "expenses" though! |
