Had our totally fabulous sleigh bed for just over a year and lately its getting noisier and noisier, its getting a little distracting. Also the awkward looks when we see the neighbours is growing by the week (clearly jealous).

Any suggestions on how to stop the planks from squeeking so loud?

I dunno if it will work but squeaky floorboards are stopped using talkim powder between the joints.

You could try putting talk on the joints or anywhere the timer rubs together dunno if it will work but surely worth a try

Candle wax is also good

Either that or screw and fix the boards in place

most beds wooden beds are held together with screws you tighten with an Allen screw, you really should check and tighten them every 6 months, loose joints are the main reason for squeaky beds

I would check the joints to see if they need tightening or as has been said already, apply talc or similar where the planks may be rubbing together.

I quite enjoy the looks from my neighbours - I have a couple of lady visitors who can get quite vocal and there are also noises from floggers etc. on occasion (at a previous address, I used to host small BDSM parties and some of the equipment used to thud on the floor).

Like you say, the neighbours are only jealous!

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

You could always have sex in other places rather than your bed

Loads of great advice. Thanks folks.

Away to use some talc and also make sure all screws and bolts are tight sounds from the suggestions that we should be doing this anyway.

Sex elsewhere advice is also appreciated but as can be seen in our pics we already do lol.

my bed is allen keyed and every so often we tweak it all over - does make a huge difference despite us having broke the middle leg off
