I have just thought of a new forum game... and I am winning so far!
When a thread gets so long that a mod announces they are going to close it.... you have to get the last post in before it actually closes.
Wait too long and you may be too late, strike too soon and someone else may steel the point.
It's a game of skill, cunning and holding your nerve.

Additional Rules (because it's my game):
To win the point it must be a short post.... long posts relating seriously to the subject won't be counted.... as you probably started typing them half an hour before hitting submit.... when the thread was only 6 posts long. |

The trick is to have the window open and be typing your heartfelt diatribe when the thread gets closed.
That way you're post still goes up.
I've managed it a couple of times (crash in durrington being one) and it feels fucking awesome to know you've got the last word in perpetuity.
It's almost as good a feeling as knowing you're right.
