From Carry on Abroad....
June Whitfield's prim character Evelyn Blunt replies: 'I tried it once and didn't like it' when Vic Flange (Sid James) asks her whether she wants wine. She repeats the line when he asks if she wants a cigarette, adding, 'My daughter is just the same.'
Vic guffaws as he replies: 'Your only child, I presume?..." |

Watched Abroad last night. I noticed how the weekend holiday at Ellsbells they all went on may have been not what they wanted but it was exactly what they needed as it made them better people. |

Exactly. A good example of what I'm on about is Mr and Mrs Blunt. There was no sex in their marriage and they were miserable as sin (mainly Mrs Blunt who was prude, bossy and complained all the time) When Georgio "gave it to her", Mrs Blunt became much happier than she was before |

That scene is so funny!
"I came here once before you know"
"Arrhh you did, did you?"
"Yes, a lady gave me some"
"She did, did she?!"
"Yes, and it was very nice too"
"You've got a nerve!"
"Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm quite willing to pay for it this time!"
From memory..... |
