Anyone ever spotted/bumped in to/spoken to any of them whilst out and about?

Work related ones don't count!

I had Alan Carr sat behind me in the Mail Box in Birmingham once. Somebody had to..

Apart from that I saw Peter Green(founder of Fleetwood Mac)out and about once, which made my month.

C'mon: whaddayagot?

I know what you're saying. I hardly watch telly anymore so would have no idea. I'm sure I would have spotted plenty of 'celebs' if only i knew(or cared)who they were.

I was kind of going for A listers if poss.So no idea why I mentioned Carr.

Some of my friends have had amazing spots: Terry Gilliam and Peter Jackson on the tube(before following them and gatecrashing an exclusive party fr Ray Harryhausen!), and Samuel L Jackson in a restaurant. With his Kangol hat thing.

Maybe it's a London centric thing mainly.

Apparently I've seen someone from Ocean Colour Scene lots of times in the old Snobs, but I was clueless about what they ALL looked like.

Well I was a Redcoat in the 90s so I can dig up a long list of washed out celebs of that era

I remember there being huge excitement when some bloke off Coronation Street arrived in a helicopter but I think soaps are shit so wasn't bothered.

I got stuck in an African airport overnight once and was put in a hotel with a footballer. I thought he was like a Sunday leaguer so didn't ask him much about his football but we got on well. Then he popped up on TV a year later after winning the African Nations Cup

Worked with quite a few and met more out and about, I'm not overly fussed to be honest.

The nice ones are always down to earth, so being a celeb doesn't matter to them and the stroppy/bitchy/demanding/diva ones aren't worth the bother unless you're being paid to work with them.

Snobs, that;s a name from the past!

IF OCS was there the same night as you you'd know. Arrogant pricks

Depends on what level of famous.

Meet quite a few people.

Last few are Dr Christian Jesson on the train from London, Sir Clive Woodwood, fella from the gadget show (forget his name but he is forgetful famousish), Matt Le Tissier at a friends party, and for the blue noses out there, Dele Adebola God knows how many times in Moseley.

So many work related but before all that, met Ally Mcoist (Scottish footballer for those 'doon there') in a Chinese restaurant in Glasgow after playing a gig. Had no idea who he was. He was dressed up as Spock at the time and I couldn't get my head around why so many folks were getting their nickers in a twist over a guy in a Spock outfit.

I, in my inebriated state, went over to the crowd and announced 'he's not really Spock ye know!'. Next thing he came over and joined us for the meal.

Good guy very funny and top banter (at the time, this was mid 90s).

Also, kinda work related but a bit tenuous, whilst putting on a gig the main artists girl friend came into my office, she was one of (probably many) Sarah's from Playhouse Disney. I got all excited and told her how much my son loves her and she nearly died given the rock n roll setting.

South East Midlands NOT

I used to live round the corner from Alan Carr, Arabella Weir and Sara Cox. And where I worked was flooded with eastenders cast members. I've bumped into a few on nights out too. They're just normal people, they just want to blend in in my experience!

Did security for Amy Winehouse, George Michael, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Kate Moss and her family. Stood infront of Kate Middleton in the que at Waitrose (she likes mini cheddars) and drank beer backstage with the Happy Monday's!

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

We met Danny Miller, the guy who play Aaron in Emmerdale a couple of weeks ago at a vanilla party - I didn't know who he was but a fab friend of ours was madly excited so I ended up asking him to have pics with us before she exploded - he was friendly

I did have an altercation with a former Coronation Street cast member when he was blind d*unk at 7 am in a hotel in Manchester.

I also felt out quite badly with a very very famous pop star whilst on another continent, met numerous actors and actresses, DJs on flights and at airports , sportsmen at various "do's" etc etc.

Brilliant!

I know a Bob Dylan story which is pretty similar. Except he was with the old dear for ages drinking tea and shooting the breeze before her husband came home from work, recognised him, and Bob realised he'd gotten the wrong house.
