Agree about Dracula, I also enjoyed the original Frankenstein althout it is rather a tragic tale. I'd also highly recommend For Whom the Bell Tolls, Brighton Rock, The Cruel Sea, and several Conrad novels, perhaps his short story Typhoon is the most accessible. |
