Whilst perving profiles I've just seen reference to one person not playing because of having an operation.
I don't think I need to know this stuff.
Would you rather know this stuff or is 'not playing for a while' enough info?

I'm not playing currently, I get messages all the time asking why not, surely you would want to play with me etc. I haven't put my reason up but I can certainly see why others do as it will help stop the questions |

it's only an operation. but yeah i would like to see this stuff on a profile so that i don't waste my time expecting something that's not going to happen. |

Im currently not meeting and get asked all the time when i say sorry its not your business then they sometimes get ratty.. one even said ah you must be on you period, he was swiftly told even if i was meeting i wouldnt be meeting him |

These replies, I must admit, are an eye-opener for me.

I'd think - What the hell has it to do with anyone, especially some sex-craved random who just wants to get his rocks off? (Others y'know... not me)

Profile updates or incessant status updates. Some people like to make sure everyone knows the detail of what they're doing in life good, bad, indifferent, relevant or irrelevant. Just in case the rest of the site is wondering about them   |

Not everyone is like you though. Some people are quite nosy. I recently had a break due to an operation in Jan. Tried putting on my profile why I wasn't meeting and got 20 questions. Would reply to messages saying I wasn't meeting and again would get asked why. Plus I got people asking if I would keep them in mind when I was back. |

i agree with that, not really anyone's business. but if they wanna say why i think it's fine.
as for the period thing, i do look for sex while on and mention it in my status. only met one guy i think, the rest want anal or expect bjs so yeah TMI can backfire. |

I don't need to know why someone is taking time out but equally it doesn't really bother me if they put the reason why, unless it's really graphic.
I sometimes wonder why some people announce on their status update to all that they're on their period, only its not so nicely phrased. That's puts me off at times. |

A profile is the user's tool to let others know whatever they feel is pertinent. They probably aren't actively encouraging profile views of people wanting meets, if they aren't meeting themselves. It's a case of there being no guarantees whenever you visit anyone's profile.
Many here have regular social and fb friends. Adding into that's personal and possibly intimate would inform them about their friend's life. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
We are here as real people, warts and all, rather than as fantasy objects that don't ever take a shit, or get out of our erotic play wear and high heels.
That's probably the difference to people who swing, compared to just singles on instantshag sites.
And many of us have affection for and care for others here - and I'm glad we do. People often say they feel more accepted here than on other sites they've used before - that's reflective of how great Fab is.
Elsewhere I'm a sex kitten, always pouting and appreciative of attention. Here I'm moody, in my worn out stockings and hungover, not really giving a damn about what some nobody thinks - I'm always respectful of everyone and look out for them as well as myself.
But we are more than just a collection of people on an internet site for sex, presenting our superficial shells only, whilst seeking to hide our more personal selves from others. I don't speak for everyone - to generalise would be crass and hopelessly inaccurate.
Ignore peoples' profiles, unless you are open to discovering how others are different to you. |

It's really simple when not meeting...
Either hide the profile,
Or delete everything (men!) off the Looking For list, and replace the profile text with 2 words: "not meeting".
