While I personally agree with you, what someone says on an Internet forum to get a fuck won't change what someone feels about themselves. |

At risk of being a tad too 'right on' and PC surely any adult females figure is 'womanly' .. not just those with curves or a few extra pounds or whatever.
But to answer your question I think a lot of women do worry about their figures and are influenced by the media and so feel they have to conform to a physical 'norm' whereas a lot of us men do like a naturally curvy or fuller figure.

Threads like this just reinforce negative body image. The irony. |

I hate looking in a mirror I hate my body from the neck down but that's my problem I'm not over weight I am a curvy lady but I still have the lumps and bumps I wish I didn't but I hate when someone says I have a real woman's figure or the good old classic baring hips all women's figures are womanly because as stated they are women x |

I don't think being fat is 'womanly'. I'd describe womanly as having hips, a narrower waist and a nice arse.
I didn't mention boobs because I like small ones |

On paper I should be worried sick. I spent most of my life believing people, not just men, wouldn't like me because I wasn't slim.
Since I've been on Fab and been 'liberated' from my inhibitions etc. I now don't care at all.
For a lot of men it's more about being and feeling sexy than being a size 10

All ladies' body shapes are womanly and I'm sure every woman has something they're not overly happy with.. And a lot of men also have insecurities. Its called being human, always wanting to better ourselves and finding our flaws.
So, perhaps your post can apply to everyone OP |

It is not offensive to slim women. If people said ONLY curvy/larger women had womenly figures then that would be offensive to slim women. To simply state that one thinks curvy women have womenly figures says nothing about slim women at all. |

I can't wear 80% of my clothes right now cos I've put on so much weight in the last 18 months and before anyone says I look small or average in the pictures take a closer look at my arms, they're like big sausages and that black dress thing is spanx so it's smoothing my belly! |

Ooooh I love a good thread. And this one is a good un. women are beautiful whatever there shape. In my opinion anyway. No matter what size we see or however womanly we feel . All women are gorgeous. Look at us !!!! Slim women, tall women, short women, curvy women we are all womanly. There are lots of men put there who like a bit of meat on a ladies bones and there are men who prefer slim but we are all womanly. I'm never offended if someone's not attracted to my womanly figure. Not at all. Good thread op and interesting xx |

All women are beautiful regardless of their shape or figure, the true beauty is where they love who they are and are happy with themselves. it's often the result of motherhood and maturity. They should be applauded not debated ???? |

As I said ALL woman have a womanly body.

Yep , I'm trying to lose weight, but that's for me and my health. It's frustrating though that however much weight I lose, can't seem to shift it from my stomach ! That's my disliked part. But B likes it. We are all our own worst critics though.

i've been lucky that i'm stubborn, and when my abusive ex used to slag me off (after having his kids) i just thought he was a knob. plus my body wasn't even that bad then, was only after 3 it went to pot...
and you know what? the guy who i had my other 2 children with used to kiss my wobbly belly and say he loved me coz i'd had his kids and didn't care about it. he still cheated on me though.
fuck it. most people just wanna get their dick wet and don't really care so long as you have a nice face or something there that attracts them. |

Absolutely agree!
I'm my own worst critic and want to lose about a stone! Many ladies on here look amazing with 'womanly curves' - I don't as the weight goes on in all the wrong places!
Ironically - the only time I'm really curvy is when I strip the body fat -then I have a good waist to hip ratio - at other times I'm slightly chubby, not curvy!! Xx |

Sometimes I am super happy and others in not.....
I often used to think my breasts are too big and have been hiding them all my life .... Now I am adjusting and coming round to liking them..... Same with tummy ... Hate it really and then I think two kidos, life saving operations, and it's super soft .... I just need to choose to love all of me and accept that the "he" might be being honest when he says yum

I have massive body confidence issues. Which are all my own, it's not about anyone else, I just struggle to see what others see. Considering Mr T has an athletic body and very fit and healthy, I do wonder what on earth makes him (or anyone else for that matter!!) attracted to me from the neck down. I could spend hours pointing out the awful parts of me.
I feel that everyone will see my body how I see it, disgusting, which is one of the reasons why I felt the need to state my size on our profile, almost like a warning!
However, the good thing is I'm trying my best to improve my body, it makes me unhappy so I'm making a change (I'm three stone down so far) no one else can do that but me, and during the time of the weight coming off I need to learn to love what I have each day because I accept that I won't be a skinny Minnie overnight.
I try and learn to love the wobbly bits but I won't miss them when they're gone!
