I dunno...my pals mum used to have a harrods bag she loved to take with her shopping way way before the five pence charge.

I have a friend who works on the checking desk for Emirates so when people have to many bags after a bit of duty free and decide to condense their bags she gets loads of top designer carrier bags. (The posh strong ones with rope handles and Prada and MK on the side)
She saves them and drops them off at a charity shop on Uxbridge high street and I love the idea of some little old dear buying a cardigan for £3 and leaving with it in a Vercace bag. |

"why on earth do you see people in cheaper shops like aldi and primark but they love to use a bag from an expensive shop, always makes me laugh ....."
I have my Harrods bag for shopping in Aldi & Lidl, also have my also bag for shopping in Waitrose. |
