How long is it for you before you consider someone a friend. I don't mean before adding someone to your friends list.
A total stranger starts talking to you, at what point to do feel they are a genuine friend?
Is it instant?
Does it take time?
Are you selective about who you call a friend?
Do you call anyone and everyone who says hello a friend? |

It takes me weeks or months to call someone a friend. oddly i can take a dislike to someone instantly and never change my mind
True friends that i trust 100% with my life?
probably 4 |

I'd trust no one with my life.
I have few very good freinds
I have a few good friends
I have too many 'friends'
Depends on the people the time and the context whether i consider them a friend.
All behavior dependent and all built up over time until understandings are established.
Some become friends as they help others out.
Some become friends as they are dependable.
Too many variants , no cut and dried recipe.
An instant rapport is not a friend. It's someone you get on with. |

Sometimes just a short time, sometimes it can take years. One of my longest friends i still see i met in a hole in the ground. I think after being there for 36 hours i knew he would be a friend for life. maybe i make friends easily though s i would say i have quite a few i would class as ones. |

I have a few friends (less than one hand! probably less if I am honest..) and two of them I have met on here but never met in person if that makes sense, but I do class them as good friends - so you can never tell....and I bless fab for them! |

My stepfather once said to me that over my lifetime I would be able to count my true friends on one hand, and still have digits left over.
I have many aquaintances, but a few good friends.
I do think I need both hands though |

I'm not a people person, though people do like me. I have about four people I would call good friends, and they're friendships I've build up over years.
There are though two people that I would trust with my life: my sister who lives in Italy and my ex-husband. |

I have very few true friends. Of the ones I do have, I have known them for more than half my lifetime. Mr and I know lots of people but very few of them would either of us class as true friends. I wouldn't trust anyone with my life but there are people in my life that I would entrust my secrets to |
