For clothes and assessories, I do not believe in buying fakes.
For jewellery, I would buy quality fakes that look real. The trick is to buy items that look as if I can afford the real thing without selling my body or soul!
I frequently mix real and fake jewellery, and no one can tell the difference.
Except for pearls, all the pearls are real! |

Indeed!
I put a quality fake jewellery piece next to my own while window shopping over the weekend.
I was a tad annoyed that I could not distinguish the difference between the two with my naked eye, and that the fake was only a fraction of the cost of the real thing, I was rather smug to know I own a real thing and not a fake! |
