I love R4 because I can hear a piece on the American tax returns that I want to pass on to Fabio and Marc Courtney and then find a piece on pickles that make me want to start making things.
What do you love and why?

I love the fact that while making rock cakes with my son, that I found that I had run out if mixed fruit, so I used grated apple and cinnamon instead, the result was astounding, I'm going to.make another batch tomorrow |

I love my candles because they make my lounge feel all nice n cosy plus they smell nice too. Strawberry n Lily tonight they smell just like strawberry hubbabubba |

I was a really lovely essay by a volunteer tax helper explaining how you can tell what has happened in a person's life by looking at their tax return. I think it was on From Our Own Correspondent but I was in the car and following a map at the time.

anyway... its a great little thread.. there are many things i love... michigan state, arsenal, loads of different sports but there tend to be really irrational... so this is mine...
I don't even know if this is still there... londoners will have to let me know...
I love "the hagen daas cafe in leicester square" because it was a great place where i could just sit down, eat ice cream and read a usa today and feel like i was home, just like i use to in greenwich village in new york....
I'd be as comfortable eating there on a wednesday afternoon reading a paper, as i would do on a saturday night before i went clubbing in the west end (the choice of ice cream on a saturday night tended to be a lot more alcoholic!!!!) |

I believe it is still there. There's definitely an ice cream shop where it was.
I go to Scoop on Brewer Street. Yummy.

i love the sound of a blackbird - takes me back to childhood times when i used to sit in the garden to escape the shouting going on with the parents - it gives me a sense of peace and is going to be played as my coffin goes through those doors |

Sorry to spoil the moment but I couldn't help but find myself remembering the top gear where they made ambulances and Hammond had his air cannon to deliver the patient clean through the doors without opening them.
I'm now visualising a the sound of birdsong interrupted by the explosive arrival of a coffin through "those doors"
