I can the aygo but not the picanto as they don't have the model I want in both my local showrooms, only the top of range which won't drive the same boooo

The new Aygo's look good but I'm wary about it being a four seater and smaller boot than I'm used to

Chams or Socials

My friend had an Aygo (until baby arrived) & her hubby a Picanto. They preferred the Picanto as bigger.

My brother is a recovery driver & highly recommends Kia's as they are one of the makes least called out to.

Citroen C1's are good little cars too - another friend had 2

Get the 1.25 Kia.

The aygo is gutless and noisy, same as the 107 or C1. Possibly the worst exhaust note I've ever heard.

Only good thing is the aygo is good on fuel, but with 68bhp and a mammoth 0-60 second time of 15 seconds your foot will be to the floor to get anywhere.

And don't try go up any half decent inclines above third gear, it will just die.

Whoe!i happen to be driving a rented Aygo round Scotland now.

The engine sounds like a diesel and it does lack power but I love it. Its like s mini it feels like Im in a rally car. I mean its very basic but i have air conditioning and a CD radio...good consumption so Im happy...not much room in the back but its a small car. X

The engine is a 3 cylinder engine on Aygo so is a little more revvy new one is no tax until Apr 2017 when new tax bands come in for new cars. It's not like a derv car at all. We have just bought one as Niki passed her test in Dec. We bought a red X pression with X Wave roof (fabric foldback roof) with all the toys. Massively better specced than old model and nicer looking. Yes engine is a revvy engine but Toyota engines and most Japanese engines love revs. Once cruising the Aygo copes well on most roads just learn how to get most out of car. Toyota have 5yr warranty but depends how long your keeping the car. Look into forums for Kia warranty might be 7yrs does not mean they pay out. The Kia is a pretty decent car too. Peugeot and Citroën 108 and C1 share Aygo platform but do come with a bigger engine option too. Boot is big enough for shopping etc. If you want a well made slightly quicker city car look at VW Up / SEAT Mii / Skoda Citigo. We had the Mii Sport 75bhp which is pretty nippy biggest boot in class too. Built well just missing bits glovebox light/ bootlight, DAB radio, electric window switch for passenger window on drivers door. Think they are all getting uplifted soon. VW version more expensive. I have owned many cars expensive to not so expensive and the Aygo ticks lots of boxes and is pretty fun to drive around in.

Drove a rental Picanto in Malta last year and it was falling to bits after only 10k miles - though obviously it was having a tough life.

As others have said, Citroes C1 and P107 are the same car as the Aygo, so see what deal you can get from the dealer.

AYGO

What i said was: "it sounds like diesel"...anyway, Im back in Norfolk after 1200 miles and i am completely happy. Though it needs welly on hills it reaches and cruises at 70 really well. Its very responsive on the level and almost springs away at roundabouts.

Definitel rent again ...mind out the front is really low. Xxx

I down graded my audio a4 convertible to....the aygo. ..

City driving mainly....aygo is fuel efficient, cheap to run, insure and tax...great little run around and I've never looked back...

All city cars seem on par when I was looking

The 1200 miles cost me £90 in petrol

I bought my daughter a Kia two years ago for her birthday. She loves it. It has never gone wrong. Great after sales , she even got a bunch of flowers when she picked it up from the dealer.
