I'm not dressed yet either. I did make a bacon sarnie earlier... still lazing on the sofa. My mate has my car so I'm not going anywhere till she gets her arse over here. Then I might go for a swim and to see my folks. |

"I made tattie pot yesterday so thats in the oven smelling delish..... apple dumplin and custard for afters.
Whats tattie pot? sounds interesting can i have recipe pls"
Its made like a lancashire hot pot with layers of potatoes and onions. But instead of the lamb chops, layer it with thick bacon and slices of corned beef. Pour clearer stock over your layers (or just water) and let it go cold after cooking for an hour and half and take the fat off the top if you like, then reheat next day. Leave the lid off for last ten mins and let the tatties go brown. Serve with peas and loads of bread for dipping in the juices. |

NOW we understand why Newcastle supporters go topless in mid-winter and don't seem to feel the cold.
And why they die at 36.

I am cooking roast loin of pork with crispy crackling- yum, roasties, roasted butternut squash which I then mash with cinnamon and butter, and roast parsnips. Oh and carrots and broccoli and lots of thick rich gravy, can't wait.Oh yeah and stuffing and apple sauce, gotta have them, otherwise its not genuine roast pork lol |
