depends how rich i'm feeling!

Quick health tip though- I always drain the mince after frying off, to get rid of all the fat- especially if its lamb mince cos its soo fatty xx

I rarely cook (with hubby working away all through the season) but when I do make Cottage Pie I part boil the lamb mince for six or seven minutes and skim off the fat....then slightly brown off in a hot frying pan

Think it does. Also if you put brown sauce in beef mince when frying it makes it yummy

Beef mince in mine and my grandma's trick was to add pickled walnuts! Sounds strange I know, but it's delicious.

When i cook teh mince for mine, i fry it with soem chopped onion, add half a bottle of red wine, mushrooms, let that cook until wine nearly gone, add water, stock cubes, a tine of baked beans and what ever veg i have in the freezer.

make the mash with horseradish or english mustard

bake teh pie, and eat on its own with gravy made from teh leftover liquid from the meat

no need to cook veg seperatley its all in teh one pot
