short for "sic erat scriptum". It's placed to indicate that something quoted has been done so verbatim. Someone might have written elsewhere
"I haven't got nothing to say"
That sentence includes a double negative that the quoter (BBC news, for instance) wouldn't write themselves. So to clarify, they put "sic" in. |

No explanatiom is complete without a venn but im not dure how that would work in this context? |
