We all get minor injuries. Wee scratches and silly pan burns while cooking etc or using a knife badly. I don't mind those 'war wounds' but I really feel bad if I ever get a bruise. Perhaps its because we subconciously associate bruising with violence?

You can sport a plaster on a cut and people will say (if they say anything)"cut yourself?" But if you have a bruise anywhere on your body they pull that grimace face suck in their breath and say "ooooh where did you get that bruise from? Cuts happen lol and bruises are inflicted?

I have one near my ankle at 'dishwasher door open' level and another on my thigh at 'oven door gaping' height and one on my right breast which I get alot because they get pinched during sleep tossing and turning! I'm baring my body tomorrow so not a happy bunny. I don't mind if he notices my severed left leg hahahahah.

Whats the worst visible spectacular bruise you have ever had? Did it make you hide away incase others thought someone had given it to you violently?

I once "walked into a door"

you might as well tell people the other half beat the shit out of ya cos they'll never believe the truth

Also years ago I had 15 stitches in my face and head because I fell down a manhole. I've never successfully explained that one

O o O oo

I had a precedure many years ago that to help you not bruise you had to lie in bed for 6 hours after.....it didn't work....the bruise was from my hip , all the way down my body to my knee.

The kids brought their mates asking me to show them as they thought it was impressive! ( I didn't of course)

I had a badly bruised face and black eye after a fight (organised fight in the ring) people who know me knew I was competing at the time but still asked who hit you

I slipped in the bath on Christmas eve (perfectly sober I hasten to add!) and cracked a rib.The bruise that accompanied this went from boob to hip all down my left side and looked hideous!

Where do I start?!

I have a lovely scar down my leg where I dropped my dinner down myself.

I had a cyst on my boob... more than once which has resulted in ugly red scars. They're still there.

I walk into doors, I've been in my flat for almost eight years and I still walk into the door handle that's been there since I moved in.

I had a rather... erm... active?! session with a friend and totally forgot that I had a doctors appointment the next day... you know, of the get your clothes off sort... sporting a striped arse! Doh!!

So yeah... I bruise easy but generally I don't care. We're all human.

My partner got a huge cyst on his face(we called it his alien!) unfortunately as musicians there was no hiding it, worse still the lift down to the backstage area was all mirrors so he knew exactly how bad it looked as he stepped onstage! (its gone now!)

I'm slightly anaemic at the mo, and am currently sporting a thumb and finger prints on left arm, a bite mark (from me) on there, several bite marks on my inner thighs, a couple of small bruises on my right arm, some bite marks on my neck, shoulders and upper chest area... and several random small bruises on my legs from doors/ cupboards... not a good look for the LBD that I was planning on wearing on Sunday

A kink - I bite my inner upper arm or knuckles when *ahem* 'excited'... I'll happily bite others knuckles if provided, but they tend to complain that it hurts!!

It only hurts a bit - in a kind of pain/ pleasure way... like nipple clamps..

Blimey Katie thats opened the debate. I don't kinow about your lifestyle at all Ive never delved into the subject so am at a loss to the psychology of it all, but how do you view your bruises then? Accidental or inflicted violently or none of the above! I never thought about actual injury in your lifestyle until now. Breath bated!

Had a motorbike accident once, got compartment syndrome in my left leg, the whole leg from upper thigh to ankle was a very unusual shade of greenish-yellow for a while, and the actual site of the impact (just above, to just below the knee) came out in the darkest bruise I had ever seen.

Falling off a bike was painful, luckily, I wear trousers most of the time, so the bruises were hidden.

The worst scar at the mo is a 6in scratch on my arm by the dog while we were playing one day!

There are plenty of others that have had admitted to getting bruises from getting a bit carried away..

However, I love it when I get bruises from a good spanking etc.. I will take photos every day.. I am very proud of them.

It is purely enjoyable...and its something I enjoy having.

It is really hard to explain to non lifestyle people...

But read this thread again..and you will find that there are several people mentioning getting carried away and having stripey bottoms. :D

Oh see now there is somewhere I would never get bruised.. We do not do any breast or nipple torture, or slapping of that area, or tying..or clamps.. lol

Throat..is always a place that raises eyebrows but .. lol

Mine weren't accidental either... I love stripes! And I like the next day sitting down at work or something, the reminder. I also take pics in the varying stages of bruising... not sure why, I just like them.

Like Katie said though... it's not always something people understand. I don't know if I could explain it either.
