I used to be a proper night owl and would very regularly be awake until 03h00 then have to get up at 07h00 for work. I've started to lead a more normal life recently and have been getting 7 or 8 hours' sleep quite frequently now.
I empathise with anyone struggling to sleep cause it ain't fun. |

I sleep like the dead.
I never have trouble sleeping. My mum says I'm going to be an insomniac when I'm old. I suspect she may be right.
I don't have any useful tips... I listen to music but rarely get past the second song on the CD.
I could happily sleep 12 hours in one go. I did a nine hour shift in my bed on Monday night and felt so much better for it. I stay up too late at night and need at least 8 hours every night or I'm crabbit.
It's okay... I'm going now! Sorry Iconic! |

For years I could only sleep for 4 hours, maybe only 5 nights a week ( no sleep at all for two nights )
I found I could cope ok - as long as i didnt wake before 6 - so I didnt think about going to bed before 2
Now I can manage 6 hours but still I cant think about bed before 2am. If I was to go to bed at 10 - Im up at 4
Oh and if I can take a nap I do - 20 min nap in the afternoon works wonders ( well it stops me falling asleep at the wheel) |

I haven't slept properly for many years. Sleeping tablets don't work. After having neuro surgery 15 years ago I have on average 2hrs sleep a night and can function normally. Just what your body gets used to.
So I sympathise with people who can't sleep.
This site is like a ghost ship after 2.30 in the morning lol |

"Well i`m near stone henge.........is that close?"
Reminds me of a song...
"Down the 303 at the end of the road.
Flashing lights, exclusion zone.
And it made me think
It's not just the stones that they're guarding"
One internet cookie to whoever knows what song that's from - without searching for it on Google!!! |

I've been awake since 4.20 this morning and been the same all week. So far I've cleaned all the kitchen cupboards out and cleaned the rest of the kitchen. Just having a cuppa before i start on the washing. With any luck I'll have downstairs done before the kids get up and then we are all off swimming.
I'm off out with the girlies tonight so hopefully by the end of the day I'll be so tired I might get a full nights sleep!!! |
