"If a doctor suddenly had a heart attack while doing surgery, would the other doctors work on the doctor or the patient?"
Depends if they were a doctor of philosophy or not? |

OK this is silly;
If it is complex surgery, there will be a team of surgeons .
If one is taken ill, collapses etc, then the senior in the team takes over, and completes the procedure, in the unlikely event that he/ she can't, then they stabilize the patient and call for a backup. There is a contingency plan in any complex/ high risk surgery against most potential disasters .
The ill surgeon will be dealt with by evacuating him/ her, giving first aid and dealt with separately, probably by A&E staff. |

Right. Im assuming the surgery is taking place in a theatre and not sonething they are called out to . so the patient is under anesthetic, there not dying even if its heart surgery its to prevent them dying in the future, so im assuming if the surgeon has a heart attack one of the assistants would keep an eye on the anesathtized patient and the others would call the crash team, when they arrive they will take over and the others will get back to looking after the patient after calling for another surgeon to take over |
