I know there's a good few camp sites rent out Log cabins in and around Jedburgh .....

Forest Holidays do good log cabin breaks - no idea if they have a site within 2 hrs of Sunderland , but I expect so.

2nd this, you can get 4 bedroom - giant jacuzzi ones - all angled so you can't see into others
