Is it me or would you say 80 percent of people on this site class themselves as curvy but in real fact curvy is just a nice way of saying of what it really is ?? just being brutally honest like the people are to me ???? it's rare to see many slim female on here just saying !!!

the problem is, the choices of 'body type' on here are restrictive and, for men, pants. I am not slim, but I am not a BBW, and I am definitely not average!

My boobs and hips go out and my waist goes in so in my opinion, I'm curvy. others will have the same opinion. Just because you think they're fat, doesn't mean they're not curvy.

but also slim. Most people just check a box that summarises them best.

It's not a nice thing for a woman or a man to describe themselves as ample unless they are comfortable with who they are .

Not just on this site, but in general. "Curvy" was a term first used for Adrianna Lima and Gisele Bunchen. An example GF of mine was "curvy" - a size eight... tiny waist with full buttocks and breasts. The word has been hijaked by obese people, sadly.

Makes me chuckle because I have seen this or similar comments, now matter how potentially well intended and genuine... sooo many times on here and it does not matter how it is phrased, whether it is meant to be funny or critical... it can only go one way!

Question : Does it really matter how people describe themselves?

Why is 'curvy' or whatever you think the people who say they are curvy really are a negative thing? The fact that it is to you, OP, doesn't mean it is to everyone else .... many people think curvy is a positive thing (my OH for example, as he is always trying to overfeed me) .... so your post seems to be a dig at these people. Given your earlier post on another thread on not getting much play or interest on here, it doesn't take much to get a good idea why ..

I just don't see why it bothers anyone enough to start a thread about it, it's just people's choice of a website ability to categorise themselves, which won't suit everyone and interpretation is so personal?

I'm athletic build ish, but I'd not be offended if a darts or shot putter (with their traditional builds, no offence intended) put it as well

If you go in at the waist and out at the boobs and bum/hips.. Then that is curvy.... Whether you are a size 8 or 38...

I have average on my profile.. But I don't think I'm average... The body type options are crap... Go by people's pic's...

Curvy in relation to size op has not relation at all. Every woman is curvy has had lumps bumps and shape. Whatever their size. Its used by everyone and so has lost its meaning.
