I've lost a few friends over the years.. And just had yet more bad news.. Another friend:p days possibly numbered .. Cant really concentrate.. Keep going the wrong way, end up in places just through wandering.. It just doesn't get easier for me being and old hand at loosing friends and hard to stay cheerful. I often think i when will it be my turn and hope i go with my boots on. Do your lot ever have these days

One of the sad parts of the aging process is we reach a point where rather than giving us new things, life starts taking things away.....

Brighton - even Hove!

All the more reason to live life to the full. Do things and have experiences and treat each day as special.

Well if your feeling like this then imagine how your friend that's days are numbered is feeling, stop with the self pity and go enjoy your life before its to late

Bloody hell OP....your still a youngster! Live your life to the full while you still can.

That way you will go down with all guns blazing.

Would you rather arrive sedately at the Pearly Gates in a flowing white robe? Or go crashing through the Gates of Hades on a blazing Harley, cigarette in your mouth and a girl on each arm?

It can be very rough losing people close to you...I've done it and it isn't fun. But then I think ..."what would they prefer to see me doing? Moping or having fun?" Then I just pick myself up and take a running jump at the rest of life!

You're younger than me! I'm retiring at 56 this year to travel and have adventures because at our age we do lose people. Two choices for something we can't change: mope around feeling sorry for ourselves or thank the gods there's still life in the old dog and enjoy life...The choice is yours!

Central

2 friends have died in the past two weeks - one had cancer, diagnosed a couple of days before she passed away. Our emotions are better recognized than hidden but if you have time, do what you can to support your friend and share your love for them.

Don't let them pass with things you've not shared but would like to.

I have spend quite a bit of time visiting an Oncology Ward over the last 3 months and I am amazed by a lot of the positivity and real goal setting. Very brave people facing some of life's biggest challenges and even the ones whose news may not be the best, they are maximising their time.

Live it to the full
