it was bought with a whsmiths voucher for 49p and it was David Essex stardust 1974 I think.
First albums I had where the top of the pops albums and the bay city rollers but I didn't actually buy my first album till I had a Saturday job and I think it was a buddy holly one it might just have been called buddy holly |

Aah coloured vinyl, I've got a few myself, do they still do this, all the vinyl of bought recently just seems to be standard black. |

An ex left a copy of that belle and "Sebastian - the boy with the Arab strap " album on vinyl..
Not necessarily a purchase , more an inheritance.. Lol. |

Well I grew up in the cassette/CD generation, so vinyl came afterwards for me. But my first purchase was a whole load of David Bowie original LPs that had been donated to a local charity shop about 10 years ago. All in good condition and being sold for £10. I made a larger donation as it didn't seem right to get such a good deal... wasn't I a good boy back then! |

7" Soft Cell Tainted love. Then I heard the 12" with "Where did our love go" so went and bought that a week later.
First album "New Gold Dream 81 82 83 84" Simple Minds.
I was earning more bloody money with me paper round then when I was 11 than what I'm earning now at 47  |

It was from Boots and I bought Dear Jessie by Madonna. Am pretty sure I wanted something else but for some reason I came out with that. Have to say I still love the True Blue album though.

Think it was something obscure like Paradise Lost - Seals the Sense ep. First record bought for me was Postman Pat but that was more for my mum.
My Nan got me Claire and Friends - It's Horrible Being in Love When You're 8 1/2. Still got it somewhere. Does anyone else remember that song? |
