Not impressed with the S92: it's just a modernised S61 really .

Ah yes. Merlin is not used in UK for SAR. Personally I'm not convinced that the yachtsman wouldn't be dead by the time the aircrew had rebooted after another AMS mismatch.. |

Not always a bad thing, the almost "clockwork" S61 can get airborne so quickly in comparison to more modern platforms. Sometimes simplicity is king. Especially if you want to take off in a hurry. |
