Feel so silly, just heard a song come on the radio which had me crying....had to go into the office at the shop and dry my tears.
Funny how something as simple as a song can make people so emotional.
Memories can be so cruel..... |

That's me when "Sacrifice" by Elton John comes on Jane. I try and avoid it and I've never seen the video. It was the song always playing in the intensive care when I went to see my son.
Ever since his death, everytime I hear that song I'm back in Frederick Still Ward at Kings. 21 years this year...still makes me cry.
Big hug to you xx |

A couple of songs set me off No Woman No Cry and I believe I can fly both my brothers favourite songs when he left us. And every christmas when I see boxes of Newbry Fruit sweets I cry as it reminds me of my nan.

Tears from Heaven - Eric Clapton - guaranteed to have me sobbing. And it has been said, I'm a bit of a softie, so tears spring sometimes out of the blue. |

I wouldn't say i exactly cry but i have a couple that put the hairs on the back on my neck up and i go big eyed. The worst is highway to hell. Heard it all too often while working with the Americans in the 90s.
Funny how music can bring back memory's. |

I was going to mention a song that brings me to tears as it reminds me of breaking up with an 'ex' but after reading all the posts from those of you who've lost a child it has made me realise how lucky I am.
My sincerest sympathy and thoughts are given to everyone who has suffered and is still suffering one of the hardest things in life to bear. xx |

Mika - Any other world.
I played this over and over again in my big fancy exec car with awesome sound system whilst driving to the office, day after day. The wife (and mother of my children) had left me (came out of the blue to me) and no-one knew. I soon learned material 'wealth' really doesn't guarantee you happiness.
My thoughts are with all those posters above who have lost loved ones and childen. I know I can't comprehend but my thoughts are with you all.
Listen to the song, you might be presently surprised. |

I was quite flippant in my last posting and didnt mean to be
I do sympathise with those who have lost loved ones and friends.
I have lost enough last year alone to know how that feels.
Hence i cant listen to alot of eva cassidys music as that was played at a lot of funerals and brings back still clear and painful memories |

I organised my Grandmother's funeral and carried out her wishes as we had discussed them. She was cremated and wanted Great Balls of Fire. As I know she wanted to make everyone laugh I don't feel sad when I hear that song.
Pink Floyd, Comfortably Numb on the other hand...different story. |

I think I'd rather make people smile/laugh. At least people were smiling. I had people watching my shoulders to take their queue so I made sure they could see me chuckling. My Grandad was so pleased I played it. The rest as they say is history.
