Had to take the plunge. The wife can't use most of the available contraception available for health reasons. So either I stick a hood on for the next 10yrs or I get snipped. Fed up bagging so off with the balls. Lol. Wish me luck. |

Had mine done ages ago for much the same reasons with wife no 1.
Look after yourself during the recovery phase and don't be tempted to do too much too soon (and I mean lifting and carrying as much as i mean "that" kind of action!) and you'll be fine.

We did look at that but it was a bigger deal for the girl so hence I'm getting it done. I actually have not cum up my wife without a cover since trying for a baby a couple of years ago. Will be great to have the freedom again. |

Had mine done back in the mists of time....
Some people are fine in a few hours; some feel a bit sore for a couple of days;
But as others say; just be careful of heavy lifting/ exercise for a few days... |

Had the snip donkeys years a go.....the worst part was the initial injection to numb those pvt parts otherwise ok.
That night couldnt sleep was in so much pain........but compare the snip to child birth......... a mere scratch.

Iv watched this procedure done via lazer,absolutely amazing,like the guy says initial needle is painful but pretty much OK after that,no stitches either,swimming trunks were a god send ,also reduced the bruising an swelling.goodluck |

My doc said the same thing wear tight fitting pants and all will be ok.
The needle going in to numb did hurt but the rest was easy peasy.

Got mine done this time last year, in & out within 20mins, no pain or probs at all, only felt a little twinge now & again for a few days afterwards, this was after being prepared for the worst listening to all the horror stories going about the pub, don't even think half the guys doing the talking had theirs done. |

Here's the sciency bit..
Semen is the liquid that comes out when a guy ejaculates. It is not produced in the testicles. The colour, consistency and taste all come from the semen. It varies in volume every ejaculation.
Sperm come from the testicles. They fertilise women's ova if they get the chance. Don't get sperm (ie sperm carrying semen) on her vagina or in it if you don't want to get her pregnant. This includes carrying it on your fingers.
When a guy has a vasectomy the vas deferens, aka the sperm duct, is cut and both ends sealed so they can't regrow together. The sperm are still produced but are reabsorbed into the body. No sperm then no pregnancy. Lack of sperm confirmed by test a few weeks after op.
Because the volume of semen varies every orgasm you don't notice the lack of sperm which, I've seen it said, adds about 10% to the volume of ejaculate.

It was about £350 I think, they inject anaesthetic in with a special high pressure thing. Felt like getting pinged with a rubber band
The incision was done with tweezers and left a scar about 1/2" and no stitches either. |

Had it done 10 years ago. No regrets, no noticeable difference, except the huge upside in not worrying about us getting pregnant.
Would highly recommend for those who definitely are 100% sure they don't want to have more children. The ladies have suffered enough without having more procedures or being always the ones responsible for birth control. So I believe it's the least we can do to help.
