Good work! Great effort!
A lot of it is in the head and willpower I think.
Sometimes I can be really focussed and cut out all bad food, other times less disciplined.
Eat better and move more on the whole works (yes there will always be medical exceptions) but for most doing more exercise and eating sensibly is the answer ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Well done op..I am always in awe of people who lose weight because I've never been able to..I weigh more now than I did full term pregnant with my kids
I have no will power and love bad food!
I suffer almost constant head aches and a terrible bad back. .I'm only 33 but feel so old.
I know if I lost weight I'd feel better in so many ways
Just can't stick to anything! |

"I wasn't aware that fizzy pop had fat in it ...well done on your achievements !"
'Fizzy pop' doesn't contain fat. It contains excess processed sugar that the body can't process turning it into fat. Even diet drinks that use sweeteners have problems.
The best and only way for loosing fat and maintaining that loss, is through exercise and eating the right foods. It doesn't have to be salads and rabbit food! ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

I think it's more tye sweetness in it can have inflammatory effects and also cause the body to crave sweet things as it thinks it's getting energy when it's not.
I tried to cut it out a while ago and the effect it had was huge but bad habits and all that. |

I've recently been diagnosed with gallstones too. I'd joined Slimming World 3 weeks before I had the first 'episode'. As a result I use them to my advantage and stick to the eating plan - mainly veg and lean meat, fish. What I have realised is just how much treats had become part of my everyday diet and how much I was kidding myself about what I was eating.

The less than 5% was the main stay of the Rosemary Conley diets back in the 90's, not sure if those clubs are still going but I do recal losing as fair bit of weight. There was a light aerobics class at the end of the weigh in too.
Well done OP, you're looking good ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

No it's not easy or pleasant at times and if I forget and eat something I shouldn't I do pay for it. Now it's been confirmed I feel better because I know what it is, if that makes sense. However, having decided beforehand that I needed to make lifestyle changes I use it as a tool to keep me on track. |
