This is why I am so glad I went on the mini-pill and stuck with it after a horrendous bleedy start. Although I still want chocolate because it's Sunday, I have work tomorrow, I have a stinky cold and my nose is sore. |

I dread mine. Pain nearly every day & it revs up when I ovulate. I bleed heavily for 8-9 days & can have nosebleeds too. I have to have a coil fitted but got so much going on this year & heard stories of prolonged bleeding that I'm putting it off until September  |

I'm having mine taken out & refitted 2mrrw, I'm absolutely crapping myself at the thought of how much it will hurt but the short term pain is worth the long term gain at my age. At least I bloody well hope it is.
Btw I never had heavy periods before the coil& I found it took the best part of 6 months to settle down, apart from occasional light bleeding I haven't had what I would call a proper period until this week in 5 years.

That's really good to know!!! With my 40th, a dream holiday, my brother's wedding & a weekend away for my dad's 60th in August I don't want to risk anything. I thought get the events out the way 1st. I'd rather have a hysterectomy like I was promised when I was 30!!! |
