Yeah, she is a nice woman. Although I can't spend more than a week in my in-laws' company because our personalities are so different. That's the same as my own family too, though

I did with my ex husbands mum. I still miss his family even though we got divorced back in 2003.
I never really got involved in my last ex's family. I felt I was betraying my ex husbands family which was a bit weird.
My last ex's mum died a few years ago, she was a nice lady but I didn't really know her that well |

Not that we're married but yes, I do get along pretty well with my mother-'in-law'.
We have a mutual appreciation of my own mother's failings, and she's a right minx when she gets pissed (which is often enough to make you wonder if she reads the health pages of The Daily Mail in that spew bile into the house but so long as we don;t talk about immigrants or poor people, we're fine). |

No, I didn't get on with my mother in law. I tried but she wasn't having any of it. She didn't get on with many people. An extremely bitter woman.
My father in law and sisters/brothers in law were all extremely sound people. I still speak to all of them regularly. |

I used to get on great with my ex-MIL....until I realised she was a bit fruit loop...my ex had already realised this way before me....when my ex FIL's divorce finally came through he went out and bought an MR2 roadster.."she's had her midlife crisis, i can buy mine now " |

Absolutely love mine!!! We're still really close even though she's not really been my mil for 4 years. It's hard to just let go after being a part of each others lives for over 20 years.
We go for coffee & lunch & she does my washing & ironing if I leave any when I go on holiday. |

I'm quite lucky with the other MrsMac. I've only met her about 8 times in 13 years. The first time I met her was 5 weeks after I gave birth to her granddaughter and the second my wedding. Any more frequent and I doubt I would be so pleasant. |

Those pesky immigrants how dare they come here running away from war and interigration... They must answer the question of our great nations nationality test....p.s which most of the uk population can't answer in simple English... |

Before divorce, no. She was frankly boring and we found any conversation a strain. Since divorce, she's been utterly vile to me & my daughter.
Glad I no longer have to have anything to do with her. |

I get on fine with mine... even after herself decided we should go seperate ways. technically she's not mother in law now. . But she's still nanny to the kids, so I do see them quite often, especially since herself and them have fallen out .. nobody should miss out on time with the kids. .. |

My ex wife's family used to drive me nuts, all of them. Think brother In law was worse always trying to compete if we bought something they bought bigger more expensive, yet when we bought something MIL would say we are wasting money, but end if day think it was me with problem , and that problem was them |

Never got on with my ex mother in law
She was a right snob, everything was for show, didn't do anything for you unless everybody knew about it and she's never let you forget
I just stayed away from her to be honest |

Guess I've had two, although not married to the first guy, they loved me and because of that I ended up being the one running round. Plus they where both alotm older than my mum so I treated them like grandmas. Nothing like my family.
Apparently I'm the best mother in law ex mother in law depending on the day of the week ever. Apparently instead of having one pain for a child I've now got two |

No as she's my ex mil now!!!!
She once said to me hurry up and have kids as your eggs will be going stale and you might have a spastic!!!.
When I asked what a spastic was she said one of them Mongol children I didn't even know what that meant.
My relationship ended less than a year later. think my gene pool had a lucky escape, someone else hasn't though poor woman.

Not at all Ive tried but also she seems to do is criticise me, I'm not saying I'm perfect at all.. But she can't even bring herself to be happy for me when I do well with things. |
