I'm just watching a repeat of the great comedy series. It is still as fresh as it was the first time I saw it. At the moment, Mainwaring is dreaming of sharing a toasted cheese sandwich with the clippie on the bus coming back from the cinema.

I'm afraid I haven't been able to bring myself to go to the cinema for the ltest offering which sounds like an impersonation of the original. Am I missing anything or am I right to keep the original sacred?

I won't go to see it. Might catch it on TV when it comes on.

London and Essex

I have great memories of watching Dad's Army. I'd go round and watch it with my Grandad (the reruns in the 90s/00s). He'd say the 'stupid boy' catchphrase whenever I said or did anything daft!

One of my favourites moments is Frazer's story about the old, empty barn!

Not seen the film, but heard good things about it.

Loved Dad's Army as a child. we saw the film recently and they have done a good job of recreating the characters.

Storyline a bit daft but worth a watch.

I got to watch them film the new dads army film in Brid, and went to see the movie a couple of weeks ago. It's ok, love the old ones better.

Don't go, we went and the best we can describe it is: "it was okay" nothing special and not a match on the original, after watching it at cinema, the following week we bought the old original dads army movie on dvd for £2 and it is 100% better and far more laughs
